About Me

Hi, my name is Sarah Beth.
I live in the Pacific Inland Northwest, and art has been part of my life since I can remember.

From a young child I was fascinated by drawing portraits, and I’ve never really strayed far from the human face as my subject.

Stippling and line work have long been near and dear to me as an artist, and during the pandemic, I had the time and space to find a way to combine both into my paintings.

Much of my work has a Mid-Century Modern influence to it, as I connect with the simple yet expressive design popular at that time.

My series “Colors” includes hand-stippled faces based on unique photographs of people from all walks of life.

The acrylic colors are mixed by me and provide a bright contrast to the otherwise monochromatic nature of stippling with ink.

This series brings me great joy, and my hope is to connect with others who are equally moved by these paintings, which were born out of decades of trial, error, learning, and passion.
